The “Marketing Sub-committee” of Intercambio.co.uk is responsible for the day to day management of www.n4pcomputing.co.uk . Following the constitutional procedures (Clause 8.5) of the “Permanent Standing Sub-Committees”, the Marketing Sub-committee submits a written progress report to the Management Committee every six months, including report section(s) on www.n4pcomputing.co.uk .
Under the direct governance of the sub-committee, the activities of www.n4pcomputing.co.uk operate within the framework of the Management Committee’s “aims and objectives” (Clause 3). It is also within the scope of the Management Committee’s authority to invest its own constitutional powers in any sub-committee. Therefore under clause 8.1 the Management Committee also delegates the two of following specific tasks to www.n4pcomputing.co.uk :
1. To raise funds and to invite and receive contributions provided that in raising funds the Management Committee shall not undertake any substantial permanent trading activities; (Clause 5.5)
2. To co-operate with other voluntary and community based organisations and authorities and agencies operating in furtherance of the aims of the group or of similar charitable purposes and to exchange information and advice with them; (Clause 5.7)
Whenever www.n4pcomputing.co.uk provides free computer support or service beyond its own membership base (i.e. to those not members of intercambio.co.uk) it does so on the basis such action will adhere to clause 5.7. When computing services are not being provided free of charge but being paid for, all such revenue is treated as either “raised funds” or “contributions” permitted under clause 5.5.
All revenues (incomes, donations, profits etc) arising from the activity of n4pcomputing.co.uk accrue over a 6 month period within the sub-committee’s own financial accounts. The sub-account balance is then fully credited to the “Income and Expenditure Account” of the group (Intercambio.co.uk) at the close of each 6 month period. The “Marketing Sub-committee” is responsible for ensuring both financial and activity reports on www.n4pcomputing.co.uk are submitted to the Management Committee at least every six months (Clause 8.5).
